At SIC, your "Sports Investing Club" - we look for value in multiple ways.

Our bread and butter involves sports marketplace indicators such as betting percentages and actual dollars bet.

In addition, we monitor and systematize other methods that flag long-term value.  Our Members have access to automated systems in college sports.  Here is a sampling of results in the young MLB season.

Did you know?

  •  Although Tampa Bay seems like world beaters, they have just a 2-4 record vs. teams better than .500.  We DO think TB is a solid team, but be aware that they are overvalued
  • On the other hand, the following teams are playing well – under the radar and have some of the best records against good competition.  We would bet on these teams because they are undervalued, especially in the -115 to +150 range:
    • Milwaukee
    • Texas
    • Toronto
    • Arizona
  • What about some of the big name teams?
    • The Dodgers are not currently rolling over the competition, but they have had a tough schedule.  They remain solid and will rise to the top over the long season.  Perhaps undervalued due to their relatively slow start!
    • The Yankees have been steady - and look to be solid.  Neutral.
    • Atlanta has played well, partly due to a soft schedule. Overvalued.
    • Houston – remains the Houston of recent years.  They are playing well, but because they have been so successful, generally overvalued.
    • The Mets are a Jekyll & Hyde team.  Injuries and inconsistency in the heart of their batting order has led to underperformance.  Although they are winning a decent percentage of games, their schedule has been soft.  With some young blood playing with the Mets, we like the mix of youth and veterans.  We believe that the slow start has the Mets slightly undervalued.

We would look to tail and fade these teams accordingly.  Members: please login and align recommended plays (and your plays!) with this list!
