Just a short note. There are no strong indications, but here are some things our team looks at:
- Technicals / Sports Marketplace: this is not strong enough to trigger a play, but there is generally slightly more sharp activity on Tampa Bay.
- Fundamentals / Actual Team Strength: There's no real contest here. The Cowboy's resume is much stronger than Tampa Bay's. In some ways, this should be an easy win for the 12-5 Cowboys against the 8-9 Bucs.
- Over-reaction: This is where we see value. The Cowboys looked horrible last week. Some Cowboy fans said that the Cowboys didn't have much to play for; others admit that the 'Boys looked BAD! Nevertheless, the marketplace often overreacts. And we think this is true DOUBLY. Tom Brady has been showing flashes of his old form; and that is built into the line.
These last two angles – and especially the last angle makes us lean towads the Cowboys. Especially at the -2.5 (even with some vig). Cowboys -2.5.
