As mentioned in our weekend post, our elves have been busy at work for our SIC (Sports Investing Club) members! We systematized a method to show value (or bad value) for Top 25 college basketball teams. The value is labeled for ease of use ("Overvalued" or “Undervalued”, etc.).
The numerical value can be used relative to point spreads to estimate value. That is, bet on teams undervalued; bet against teams that are overvalued.
It is based on fundamentals or a team's power rating relative to the market.
This indicator is complementary to our traditional technical indicators that use the sports marketplace to compute value.
